Take in some of the most spectacular scenery the south Namibia offers, including the Kalahari and Namib Deserts; the world’s second largest canyon, Fish River Canyon; and the striking Giants Playground. Wildlife — oryx (gemsbuck), springbuck, zebra and ostrich — may be encountered as you travel through the Sossusvlei area. You’ll also explore the diamond miner’s ghost town of Kolmanskop, Swakopmund on the Skeleton Coast and Namibia’s capital city of Windhoek.

Arrival Day:
Your personal guide meets you at the airport and transfers you to our very own Khaya Guesthouse.
Day 1:
Depart from Khaya Guesthouse and travel south through Windhoek, the country’s Capital City. Travel through the spectacular red dunes of the Kalahari desert. Arrive at the lodge in time for a lunch. Afterward, take in one of the activities at the lodge: guided walks, Sundowner drives, game drives, and cheetah encounter (activity optional).
Day 2:
Visit the Quiver Tree Forest and Giants Playground. Then travel to Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon on earth. The views of this magnificent wonder of the world will leave you awe struck. We’ll stay overnight near the Fish River Canyon.
Day 3:
Travel south to the Orange River, one of the few perennial rivers in Namibia. Enroute, we’ll visit Ais hot water springs and relax in one of the pools before continuing south. Our next stop includes WWII historical sites, and then onward to Aus where we take a drive through some of Namibia’s most beautiful landscapes.
Day 4:
As we travel west toward the Atlantic, we’ll visit the Wild horses of the Namib. Next, we arrive in Luderitz and take a short tour of the town before going for dinner at one of the town’s superb restaurants before staying overnight.
Day 5:
Explore this once thriving diamond mining community of Kolmanskop. Return to Luderitz and visit Diaz Cross and some beautiful coastline scenery. Participate in a dolphin cruise in the bay area followed by a picturesque sunset (activity optional), We’ll stay overnight in Luderitz
Day 6:
While traveling north towards Sossusvlei, we’ll pass through some spectacular scenery before arriving at Desert Lodge. Relax by the pool or partake in some of the activities at the lodge, including hiking trails, sundowner drives, quadbike (ATV) rides and hot air balloon rides (activity optional).
Day 7:
Visit Deadvlei and Sossusvlei where you will see some of the highest sand dunes on the planet. Visit the Sesriem Canyon before returning to the Desert Lodge.
Day 8:
As we travel toward the coast, we will pass through the Kuiseb Canyon and the Namib Desert. After arriving in Swakopmund for lunch, you can choose between a variety of activities: quad biking in the sand dunes, dune boarding, desert tours, and more (activity optional). Enjoy a dinner at one of the excellent restaurants in the city of Swakopmund, where you will be staying overnight.
Day 9:
Go on a dolphin cruise at the Walvisbay Lagoon (activity optional), a World Heritage site for marine life. We then travel east to Okahandja where we visit a Wood Carvers Market before returning to Khaya Guesthouse.
Departure day:
Your guide will ensure you make it to the airport well in time for your flight back home.

Camping: Fully assisted camping means we take care of everything. We put up the tents and supply you with a stretcher bed and mattress, sleeping bag and pillow, bedside table and LED light. We’ll prepare open-fire meals under the African night sky. After dinner, relax by the fire and listen to the night sounds of Africa. All campsites have superb ablution facilities. Fully-assisted camping is a great way to travel and experience Africa on an authentic level.

Lodging: Enjoy some of the best lodges and guesthouses around that provide real value for your money. We’ve spent years visiting different establishments to ensure we only select the best for our clients. All meals are provided by the lodges and guesthouses unless otherwise indicated on the itinerary.

Arrival and Departure day Accommodation will be provided at our very own Khaya Guesthouse. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, wi-fi, satellite television, mini bar and coffee station. The evenings will be spent around the fire pit discussing the adventure to come or safari memories that will last a lifetime.
